Feb Goat Island Ride Description

Below is Vince’s ride report for today’s ride. Vince, Allan, JD, and Renee rode down to Goat Island and met up with the Florence crew for lunch. Afterwards they led them back to Sumter . Then the Pee Dee crew headed back up to Florence . Looks like Mac is doing a good job getting his chapter going. From what I heard they had about 11-13 bikes at Goat Island .

The weather looked beautiful when I got to step outside and I wish I could’ve been there for JD and Renee’s inaugural ride with us. I hope you they enjoyed it.

I think it’s cool that a few of you get can get together even when I can’t ride. Like I always say, this club isn’t about me, it belongs to all of us.

For those that are interested, I played pretty well in the racquetball tournament today and I’m in the finals of my division tomorrow morning at the Hartsville YMCA ( 9:00 a.m. ).

I met up with JD (with copilot Renee) and our crazy Canadian (Allen right?) at Huddle House. We went down Hwy 15 to Goat Island where we met the crew from Florence and ate lunch. We Came back up 15 with 11 bikes to 261 where we took a longer, more scenic route back toward Sumter . We got on 120 in Pinewood and came back up to the Huddle House/Exxon where the folks from Florence parted ways and headed for home. Round Trip was around 90 miles. Nice weather (slight nip) and good company made for an enjoyable ride. Sorry you missed it.
