We had a great ride today.  Steve and Vince met me at the Exxon/Huddle House here in Sumter .  We left there at 9:30 and proceeded up 261 to Camden where we met with Mark and Lori, and Robert and Glenda.  After introductions and reintroductions the seven of us on six bikes took off towards Great Falls (SC not SD) via 521 to 97.  After stopping in Great Falls for a break and to warm up a little we proceeded further up 97 to Chester where we stopped for lunch.  

After lunch we found our way to 321 south and started making our way back towards our homes.  When we hit Winnsboro we headed East on Hwy 34.  A quick stop just outside of the speed trap of Ridgeway then into Lugoff where Robert and Glenda peeled off for their house.  

Further down the road Mark and Lori continued east towards their home in Bishopville while the rest of us headed back to Sumter via 601 to 378.  

It was about 2:30 when Robert and Glenda split off and I passed our starting point back here in Sumter at about 3:10 p.m.   We covered about 169 miles.  

The weather was about as good as we could ask for in January.  Never very cold, but didn’t really feel nice until after lunch.  We all had a good time.
